What is a professional BA?

A Professional BA (Bachelor of Arts) is a type of university degree that focuses on teaching practical skills and preparing students for specific careers. Unlike a regular BA, which is more about learning broad ideas and theories, a Professional BA is designed to help students gain the skills they need to work in a particular job right after they finish their studies.
One of the key things that makes a Professional BA different is that it includes a lot of hands-on learning. Students don't just study theory—they also get the chance to work on real projects, do internships, and learn from professionals in their field. This helps students understand how what they learn in class can be applied in the real world. It also gives them experience that will be useful when they start looking for a job.
These degrees are created with input from employers and professionals, so the skills learned in a Professional BA are up-to-date and relevant to the job market. Students are taught not just about the job itself, but also how to work well with others, solve problems, and communicate effectively. These "soft skills" are very important, as they help graduates succeed in their careers, no matter what job they take on.
In a Professional BA program, students also have the chance to build a network of contacts in their field, thanks to internships.

What do I learn in professional BA ?

The BA is a training that allows me to acquire a global vision of jobs related to digital combining technical and creative skills.
The training introduces me to web development tools and techniques and programming, to create applications, websites and user interfaces. But it is not limited to the technical aspect. It also includes graphic design skills, where I learn to work on attractive visuals, incorporating elements like logos, animations and images that make the user experience more enjoyable.
In parallel, I am learning to produce audiovisual content, whether videos, animations or podcasts. This includes recording, editing and managing multimedia content, which is crucial in today’s digital communication.
The training also places a special emphasis on communication and marketing, enabling me to understand how to develop effective digital communication strategies, how to use social networks and how to develop a marketing strategy adapted to new technologies. It also teaches me to analyse the needs of a target audience and propose solutions adapted to their expectations.
Finally, the BA allows me to work in English, a key asset in an area where most tools and resources are in English, and where communication with international teams is frequent. This training prepares me to work in various digital sectors, combining creativity, technique and strategy.

The principal subjects :

Web development : I study HTML, CSS and JavaScript. HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the basic language that allows to structure the content of web pages using tags to create elements such as titles, paragraphs, images and links. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is used to stylize these HTML elements, allowing us to control the visual appearance of web pages, such as colors, fonts, margins, and alignments, in order to make sites attractive and responsive. JavaScript is the programming language that allows us to add interactivity and dynamic features to web pages, such as interactive forms, animations. It even allows us to code games.

Ghraphic design : The graphic design subject allows me to develop essential skills for creating attractive and effective visuals in various fields. Using software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I learn how to manipulate images, create illustrations and design professional layouts. Mastering design principles such as color theory, typography and composition helps me produce visually harmonious and impactful work. Graphics play a key role in visual communication, whether for websites, posters, brochures or application interfaces.

Audiovisual arts : We learn how to use professional cameras, make the necessary adjustments to obtain high-quality images, and understand technical aspects such as focusing, exposure, and white balance. The subject also covers the art of the control room, where we manage and coordinate the live production, manipulating the audio and video equipment to ensure a smooth broadcast. In addition, we discover video editing techniques, using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro to assemble the sequences, add special effects and optimize the final rendering. These skills enable us to produce professional-quality videos, whether they are short stories, short films or content for social media, and understand the entire audiovisual production process from design to broadcast.

Communication : We train ourselves to use various media and platforms to reach different audiences, whether through digital marketing campaigns, internal or external communication strategies, or social media. We also study visual communication, learning to design graphic media such as brochures, posters, and visual presentations.

How are the subjects linked and relevant ?:

First, technical subjects like web development, programming, and database management provide students with the skills to build functional and efficient digital solutions. These are directly linked to creative courses such as graphic design, video editing, and UX/UI design, ensuring that the technical foundations are paired with visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

Additionally, communication and project management courses teach students how to work in teams, organize projects, and communicate effectively. These skills are crucial for bringing creative and technical work together in professional settings.

Furthermore, multimedia production subjects, including audiovisual creation and animation, help students develop content that engages audiences. This ties into areas like marketing and digital communication, where understanding audience behavior and crafting engaging messages are key.

Finally, the program emphasizes real-world applications through internships and practical projects. This integration allows students to apply what they learn, making the education relevant to current industry demands.
